SKALD is a 2015 Parsec Awards finalist!

Today I am so very thrilled, excited, stoked and, excuse my language, over the moon, to announce that my serialized sword & sorcery podcast, SKALD, has been selected as a finalist for the 2015 Parsec Awards!

The Parsec Awards were created in 2006 as a way to honor and bring attention to speculative fiction podcasts, which includes fantasy as well as science fiction. Since then, they’ve become the acknowledged authority in quality podcasts, which is why I’m so ecstatic about being considered in the “Best Speculative Fiction Story: Small Cast (Short Form)” category.

Just being nominated was exciting enough, but amongst all the nominees, SKALD was selected as one of five finalists in the Small Cast (Short Form) category. That means that a group of people, none of whom know me or my STRAIGHT SHOOT or comics work, selected SKALD as, at the very least, the fifth best show in its category. For something that just started a few months ago…that’s amazing.

If you still haven’t checked out SKALD, there’s no better time to remedy that. List to the Parsec Awards 2015 finalist podcast SKALD on iTunes, Stitcher or Podomatic! And if you’re of the prose persuasion, I’ve got you covered with SKALD Vol I: The One True King of Men, an ebook collecting the first 16 episodes for only $2.99!
