I told you I had a big guest for SummerSlam, didn’t I? Well, how does the current PWG World Champion, new ROH signee and arguably the best wrestler working on the independent scene today, Roderick Strong sound? Pretty good? Huh? Well GOOD, because he’s coming back to STRAIGHT SHOOT this Sunday, August 23, immediately after SummerSlam!
Roddy is a dear friend of mine and he’s had an absolutely monstrous year and a half or so: Winning the PWG Title, forming Mount Rushmore 2.0, having match of the year contender bouts with KUSHIDA, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jay Lethal, Zack Sabre, Jr., Shinsuke Nakamura and more, and generally just being incredible. That’s why I’m thrilled to welcome him back home to The World’s Smartest Rassling Talk Show, where we’ll talk all about SummerSlam, as well as NXT TakeOver and Roddy’s match against Kazuchika Okada at Ring of Honor Field of Honor.
We’re going to have A LOT to cover, so you’re definitely going to want to RSVP for this one.
