Last week, I talked a big game about having Ring of Honor star and current No. 1 contender to the PWG World Title, Roderick Strong on STRAIGHT SHOOT. Unfortunately, technical difficulties laid us low and we weren’t able to make it happen. Those issues have been addressed, however, and The Messiah of the Backbreaker is FINALLY coming to STRAIGHT SHOOT immediately after Raw on August 11, 2014!

For the past decade, Roderick Strong has been one of the most visible and reliably excellent talents on the American independent scene, wrestling in Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Full Impact Pro, as well as overseas in Pro Wrestling NOAH and Dragon Gate. Personally, I’ve been a big fan of Roddy’s since I saw him with the No Remorse Corps in Hammerstein Ballroom back in 2007, and was thrilled to see him become the No. 1 contender live at PWG’s ELEVEN a couple weeks back.
