Admiral General Aladeen on his Oscar “banning”

Today I dove head-first back in to the world of movie blogging, with a post on IFC.com about Sacha Baron Cohen protesting his Oscar “banning” via an appearance on The Today Show by his The Dictator character, Admiral General Aladeen of the fictional Republic of Wadiya. Got all that?

I’ve been a big fan of Cohen’s work going back to Da Ali G Show on HBO, and while I think he fell off a bit with Brüno back in 2009, everything I’ve seen so far ofThe Dictator looks absolutely hysterical, so the enthusiasm you read in the link below, is, in fact, legit.
